Position Summary
The Chef de Rang is responsible for managing a designated section of the restaurant, ensuring a smooth, attentive, and personalized service. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional guest experience by maintaining the highest standards of service and coordination with the kitchen and bar teams.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
* Welcome guests in a warm, professional, and courteous manner
* Present menus, provide detailed explanations, and make recommendations
* Take and process orders accurately
* Deliver a refined and attentive table service
* Anticipate guest needs and handle special requests
* Address guest feedback or concerns with professionalism and care
Operations
* Manage and organize a specific section independently
* Ensure seamless communication with the kitchen and bar
* Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and service standards at all times
* Handle mise en place, service flow, and table resetting
Teamwork
* Supervise and support Commis de Rang
* Assist in training and onboarding new team members
* Collaborate closely with colleagues and other departments
Qualifications & Skills
* Degree or diploma in Hospitality or related field preferred
* Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in luxury hospitality
* Excellent grooming and attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Fluency in Arabic (Darija), French and English (additional languages are a plus)
* Ability to perform well under pressure
