Purpose
Rabat American School is hiring a Human Resources Director to join our team, support our mission, and help us achieve our goals.
By joining our team, you will play a central role in managing and developing an ambitious and diverse group. You will be responsible for talent acquisition for the institution and for defining a development strategy aligned with the sector’s requirements.
Beyond talent acquisition, you will collaborate with senior management to establish a policy aimed at motivating employees by outlining career paths and creating working conditions that foster their growth, all while upholding American educational values and adapting to the Moroccan cultural context.
Responsibilities and Duties
HR Development
* Recruitment and Integration: Develop recruitment strategies to attract top local and international talent and facilitate their integration into our school.
* Skills Development: Design and deliver continuous training and professional development programs tailored to the needs of our staff.
* Performance Management and Retention: Implement performance evaluation and monitoring processes to support career development and reduce turnover rates.
* Compensation Policy: Establish a salary policy that reflects the importance of each role and the qualifications of the staff.
HR Administration
* Legal Compliance and Employee Relations: Ensure compliance with Moroccan labor laws and international HR best practices, while maintaining open and fair communication between management and staff.
* Culture and Engagement: Foster an inclusive and supportive work environment by organizing initiatives that promote community spirit and the school’s values.
* HR Procedures: Implement HR procedures and administrative documentation in compliance with labor code requirements and standards.
* Work Time Management: Oversee effective time management tailored to the institution’s specific activities, managing staff attendance and absences.
* Social Partnerships: Maintain dialogue with social partners to ensure a positive social climate that supports smooth operations, staff motivation, and retention.
Qualifications Required
* Education: Master's degree in Human Resources, Management, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years in HR, preferably in an international environment.
* Strong knowledge of Moroccan labor laws and best practices in international organizations.
* Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
* Proficiency in English and French (Arabic is required).
* Active listener, adaptable, strategic thinker, and results oriented.
