Fluna is a pan-African trade marketplace for African suppliers to access global markets. Fluna has enabled over $40M in trade between 10+ origins and Europe, Middle East and Asia. Their core products are green coffee, soybeans and avocados. 


Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Green Coffee Trader to drive green coffee sales efforts in Morocco and the surrounding MENA region. This individual will be responsible for identifying, managing relationships and closing transactions with green coffee buyers, including roasters, distributors, and retailers. Initially the focus will be on Robusta and Arabica from Uganda but other origins will be added soon after.


Responsibilities

* Market Expansion & Lead Generation:
* Identify and develop new business opportunities across the MENA region for green coffee sales with a focus on Morocco.
* Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective buyers, including coffee roasters, wholesale distributors, commodity traders and retail chains.
* Sales & Account Management:
* Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals.
* Establish pricing strategies, negotiate terms, and finalize contracts in alignment with company policies and financial objectives.
* Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights into green coffee sourcing, product quality, and industry trends.
* Collaboration & Cross-functional Support:
* Collaborate closely with sourcing, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless product delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Provide feedback to internal teams on product demand, quality requirements, and market conditions.
* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities within the MENA coffee community.


Requirements

* Minimum of 3 years in B2B sales within the coffee industry. Prior experience in green coffee sales or distribution is required.
* Experience with African green coffee origins is a plus and even better if Ugandan coffee
* Background and experience in logistics, warehousing and coffee supply chain management
* Strong understanding of the MENA market and its unique dynamics in the coffee industry.
* Good knowledge of all local rules and regulations regarding the import of coffee
* Positive, enthusiastic, and a self-starter who embraces responsibility and can manage their own time
* Target driven to ensure customers receive fast resolution while maintaining high-quality service delivery
* Experience in a start-up environment is preferred
