we are recruiting Finance Senior Manager to our operation in Mali- West Africa:


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

General

•Leads on all financial aspects of the entity.

•Provides strategic financial insights to management.

•Conducts accurate financial planning and budgeting and monitors actual results versus the budget.

•Oversees and monitors all contractual terms with third parties having a financial impact on the entity.

•Manages relationships with clients and other stakeholders.

•Controls and oversees day-to-day business transactions.

•Manages the accounting and reporting process of the entity.

•Ensures compliance with taxes and regulations.

•Leads on the asset management process of the entity.

•Ensures timely financial reporting to management and to stakeholders.

•Liaises with banks to facilitate banking transactions.

•Manages administrative aspects of the entity.

•Assists in different cross functional missions.


Budgeting and Reporting


•Liaises with various stakeholders to set the yearly budget of the entity.

•Monitors actual results versus budget and conducts variance analysis.

•Reports budget overruns to management.

•Initiates and implements measures to mitigate any budget overruns.

•Escalates foreseen issues and matters on time.

•Ensures financial reporting is in line with the appliable financial reporting standards.

•Ensures timely and accurate reporting to all stakeholders as required.

Inventory and Fixed Assets Management

•Ensures complete and adequate oversight over all inventory and fixed assets location and condition.

•Ensures accurate valuation and reporting of inventory and fixed assets.

•Oversees the assets and inventory costing exercise.

•Manages communications with all asset-related suppliers and service providers including insurance companies.

•Monitors shipment and transportation process of inventory and fixed assets.

•Oversees shipments clearing process ensuring compliance with local requirements (taxes, customs, duties, etc.)

•Ensures the reconciliation of fixed assets reports with the financial statements.

•Leads and initiates periodic assets and inventory counts.

•Analyzes assets and inventory reports.


Accounting

•Monitors the daily business transactions of the entity to ensure accurate reporting.

•Oversees the accounting function of the entity.

•Ensures accounting is in line with the applicable financial reporting standards.

•Ensures timely and accurate invoicing.

•Oversees purchasing and payments process.

•Oversees the ageing reports and escalate client and supplier matters on time.

•Oversees and analyzes monthly payroll reports.

•Aligns with People Operations department on employee matters.

•Ensures continuous reconciliation of balances and alignment with clients and suppliers.

•Coordinates with the auditors to ensure issuance of the financial statements within the Group’s timeline.

•Ensures timely preparation of ad hoc reports to relevant stakeholders.

Contracts

•Oversees and controls all contractual arrangements with clients affecting financial accounting and reporting.

•Oversees and controls all contractual arrangements with vendors affecting financial accounting and reporting.

•Keeps track of all contractual obligations of the entity.


Treasury

•Controls banking requirements and relationships.

•Monitors all payments and receipts process.

•Reviews all bank forms and requirements.

•Ensures continuous reconciliation of bank accounts with the financial records.

•Reviews all cash payment documents (online transfers, checks, bank forms).

•Liaises with clients and third parties to control and manage the cash flow of the entity.

Tax and Compliance

•Oversees all tax related matters within daily transactions (billings, invoices, etc..)

•Oversees and track all tax and compliance submissions.

•Reviews all tax computations and reports.

•Ensures all filings are submitted within required deadlines.

•Follows up on all tax updates and changes in local regulations.

Others

•Ensures adherence to policies and procedures.

•Controls all periodic payments and transactions related to debt and leasing arrangements.

•Ensures availability at all times of financial reports needed for management and investors reporting.

•Controls all ERP modules.

•Reviews all posting and entries in ERP.

•Manages all internal and external audit procedures.

•Ensures proper filing of legal and financial documents.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS


•12-15 years of relative work experience.

•5 years’ experience as a manager

•Extensive knowledge in accounting and reporting standards.

•Ability to read and analyze complex contractual agreements.

•Excellent management and supervisory skills

•Excellent organizational and time management skills

•Advanced written and verbal communication skills

•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

•Proficient in accounting and tax software

•Excellent excel skills.

•Fluent in English and French.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


•BSc. in Administration (Accounting/Finance).

•Certified Member of an Accounting Professional Body (ACCA or CPA).
