The Business Technology Lead (BTL) is responsible for supporting and managing the implementation of business solutions projects, gathering business requirements, and translating them into technology solutions. He / She will also provide support and assistance to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and issues related to applications, systems, integrations, databases, users IT experience, and offers timely resolutions for optimal business IT service delivery and productivity.
Ensure IT business value add by ensuring collaborating with business partners and global IT teams to provision and support enterprise applications, systems, ensure smooth and secure integration. Analyze change requests and implement valid ones. Work with business partners and IT vendors to manage business expectations for IT services and solutions.
Develop and write complex queries to retrieve and analyze data from various databases and systems. Create and maintain views and stored procedures for data access, reporting, and analysis. Collaborate with business users to understand data requirements and translate them into effective queries and views. Perform data validation and verification to ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems. Troubleshoot and optimize database queries for better performance and responsiveness. Design and implement data extraction and transformation processes for integration and migration projects.
Provide advanced support, respond to IT-related queries, and resolve applications, systems, and database issues. Conduct awareness and training sessions to maximize users' understanding, adoption, and proficiency of IT applications, solutions, and services.
Ensure optimum IT service level by timely resolution or escalation to higher-level support teams when necessary. Maintain an inventory of IT assets ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Assist in monitoring and implementing IT security measures, such as antivirus software, firewalls, and access controls.
The candidate must have :
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* 1 or 2 years of experience in providing IT services and support to business partners in an enterprise setting
* English language proficiency is a must
The ideal candidate will have the following expertise:
1. First Experience in entreprise application support (ERP, Warehouse Management systems, Logistics applications, Finance applications etc.)
2. Working knowledge in database operations (Oracle, SQL etc.)
3. Knowledge in basic helpdesk support tasks (Laptop configuration, Active directory tasks, Microsoft O365, VPN connectivity , End-user threat protection etc.)
4. Knowledge in Infrastructure (some exposure to Datacenter operations, Internet connectivity, Network devices and topology etc.)
5. Interpersonal skills - should be able to manage effective communication with different types of users.
6. Understanding of IT operations support and services delivery (ITIL knowledge is a plus)
