Freelance QA Engineer- English Speaker

We’re looking for a talented QA Engineer to join our growing tech team! If you’re passionate about ensuring product quality, building robust automated tests, and collaborating closely with developers and product managers, this role is for you.

👤 About You
* Experience: 4+ years as a QA Tester or in a similar role.
* Methodology: Strong understanding of Agile, QA methodologies, and test management tools.
* Technical Skills:
* Solid JavaScript knowledge.
* Experience with Git for version control.
* Hands-on API testing (Karatelabs, Postman, SoapUI).
* Performance testing (Artillery, JMeter, etc.).
* UI automation (Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright).
* Mindset: Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and proactive with strong problem-solving skills.
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

🔍 Key Responsibilities
* Analyse Requirements: Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely, meaningful feedback.
* Test Execution: Design, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases; analyse and report results.
* Documentation & Reporting: Record test phases and defects in detailed logs; communicate bugs and issues clearly to development teams.
* Troubleshooting: Collaborate with developers and product managers to identify, debug, and resolve issues.
* Post-Release Testing: Perform thorough post-release and post-implementation tests to ensure system stability and performance.
* Test Planning: Develop and coordinate detailed test plans, prioritising and scheduling testing activities effectively.
* Automation & Tools Expertise:
* API Testing: Karatelabs, Postman, or SoapUI
* UI Testing: Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
* Mobile Testing: Appium
* Test Management: Jira Xray, Testomate
* Cross-Browser Testing: BrowserStack
* Load & Performance Testing: JMeter, k6, Locust, or Artillery
* CI/CD Pipelines: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Octopus
* Quality Focus: Implement testing processes for new and existing products to ensure high-quality standards.
* Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with emerging testing tools, trends, and best practices.
