Job Summary

Responsible for overall repair and maintenance metal stamping dies, and tooling in production environment.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Ensure safety in die repair area
* Adjustments, improvements, and repairs to ensure proper function of dies and tooling.
* Preventive maintenance of dies and tooling.
* Support stamping production line setup. Troubleshoot Die and Tooling related issues while remaining on call during production runs.
* Recording of work completed and communication of open issues.
* Workplace organization and housekeeping.

* Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules
* Must be able to work extended hours when required
* All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate:

(If a degree is required it must be from an accredited institution)

* High School graduate or equivalent
* 5 years’ experience as a Journeyman Tool / Die Maker / Repairer
* Various Machining Equipment, lathe, mill, hand tools experience
* Hand working of trim and form steels

Additional Education, Experience, Skills And Abilities Preferred

(If a degree is required it must be from an accredited institution)

* Metal Stamping knowledge including press and feeder systems
* Knowledge of liner transfer systems and end of arm tooling
* Welding, including tig welding of hardened tool steels
* Mathematics
* Computer experience
