About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Leader to take charge of quality processes in our greenfield locomotive rolling stock manufacturing plant in Morocco. The successful candidate will ensure that our products and services consistently meet both internal standards and external customer expectations. This is a high-impact leadership role with the responsibility to define and enforce the plant’s quality culture from day one.
As a Quality Leader, you will manage all aspects of product and process quality, from internal audits and non-conformance resolution to customer interaction and quality training. You will also play a key role in preparing the site for audits, setting up quality tools and systems, and managing the Quality Control team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) in ERP systems and customer portals
* Support root cause analysis in cross-functional teams using methods such as 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, QRQC
* Monitor internal and external defect rates in ERP and provide trend analysis
* Prepare Project Quality Plans based on customer specifications and company standards
* Supervise Quality Control (QC) personnel and ensure execution according to control plans
* Lead Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) programs based on NCRs and defect analysis
* Organize and supervise quality gates, inspections, and Quality Wall processes
* Ensure implementation of railway-specific quality standards (e.g., KTP) and tools
* Deliver training programs for quality teams and production personnel
* Lead regular Quality Review Meetings (QMR) and present KPIs and performance updates
* Prepare quality reports, data visualizations, and dashboards for internal and external use
* Organize and participate in customer audits, visits, and compliance verifications
* Manage FAI (First Article Inspection) processes for new or modified products
* Oversee measurement tools, calibration, and cooperation with metrology suppliers
* Enforce health, safety, and legal compliance in quality procedures
* Supervise and coach quality inspectors and technicians
* Be the voice of the customer: understand expectations and translate them into quality requirements
Candidate Profile:
Education & Experience:
* Proven experience in a Quality Management or Supervisor role in a manufacturing environment
* Experience in greenfield projects or startup industrial operations is an asset
* Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
* Experience in railway, heavy equipment, or automotive industries is highly preferred
Skills & Knowledge:
* Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems
* Fluent in English (spoken and written); French or Arabic is a plus
* Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality standards
* Analytical mindset and working knowledge of data/statistics methods
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Certified in quality management systems is a strong advantage

* Recommend and implement process improvements
* Escalate and address serious negligence or repeated non-compliance
