As we scale, we are seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations and ensure the timely sourcing of quality products, while maintaining optimal cost efficiency and supplier relationships.

Role Overview

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, managing supplier performance, optimizing purchasing processes, and ensuring alignment with inventory needs and sales forecasts. This role requires strong leadership, negotiation skills, and experience with ERP systems, particularly Odoo.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans in line with business growth and inventory goals.
* Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and negotiations to order placement and supplier evaluation.
* Maintain strong relationships with both local and international suppliers, ensuring reliable product availability and favorable terms.
* Collaborate with warehouse, finance, and merchandising teams to ensure purchasing aligns with demand forecasts and stock levels.
* Ensure full compliance with Moroccan import laws, certification standards (COC, SCO), and customs requirements.
* Monitor and analyze purchase KPIs including cost savings, delivery timelines, and supplier performance.
* Supervise the purchase order workflow within Odoo ERP, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
* Work with international vendors on quarterly reporting, performance tracking, and issue resolution (e.g., delays, returns, or warranty claims).
* Manage returns, replacements, and product warranty issues in coordination with logistics and supplier teams.
* Maintain up-to-date documentation, contracts, and procurement records.
* Collaborate with finance on budget planning, cost control, and currency FX management for international purchases.

Required Qualifications

* 5+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing management, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or supply chain industries.
* Strong knowledge of Odoo ERP or similar procurement and inventory systems.
* Demonstrated success in vendor negotiations, cost optimization, and international sourcing.
* Proven understanding of Moroccan import regulations, customs processes, and certification requirements (e.g., COC).
* Strong analytical and reporting skills, with attention to cost structures and purchasing trends.
* Fluent in French and English; Arabic is a plus.
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience purchasing from Asia, Europe, or North America.
* Familiarity with Shopify, e-commerce forecasting tools, and digital product lifecycle management.
* Exposure to vendor risk management, ethical sourcing, and sustainability standards.
* Knowledge of currency FX strategies and bank relationship management.
