Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead STELOs growth in Morocco. The ideal candidate is an energetic and autonomous professional with a strong background in the mining, minerals, or chemical industries, coupled with proven experience in industrial maintenance and/or processing. This role requires a dynamic leader who can manage assessments, projects, and teams while building and strengthening STELOs presence in the Moroccan market.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Leadership: Plan, execute, and deliver industrial and mining-related projects, ensuring alignment with STELO standards, timelines, and budgets.
* Assessments: Conduct technical and operational assessments of industrial plants, maintenance systems, and processing facilities to identify improvement opportunities.
* Team Management: Lead multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high performance, collaboration, and knowledge transfer.
* Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
* Business Development: Actively promote STELOs services in Morocco, leveraging personal networks and industry contacts to identify and secure new opportunities.
* Cost & Contract Management: Manage project budgets, financial controls, and contracts to ensure cost-effective delivery.
* Negotiation & Relationship Skills: Lead contract negotiations with clients, suppliers, and partners. Develop winwin agreements and partnerships.
* Reporting & Proposals: Prepare high-quality project proposals, business cases, and progress reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
* Market Development: Position STELO as a trusted industrial partner in Morocco, contributing to the companys long-term growth strategy in the region.
Qualifications & Experience
* Education:
* Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline).
* Project Management certification is an advantage.
* Asset Management certification is an advantage.
* Industry Experience:
* Minimum 15 years experience in mining, minerals, or chemical industries.
* Strong background in industrial maintenance and/or processing plants.
* Participated and led the development, operational readiness and startup of new mines or production facilities.
* Good knowledge of international industry standards.
* Exposure to Industry 4.0 - digitalisation projects.
* Skills & Competencies:
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and contracts.
* Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Excellent proposal writing and reporting abilities.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and grow a business.
* Strong business application experience (
* Languages: Must speak French, English, and Arabic fluently.
* Mobility: Must be mobile and available for frequent travel within Morocco and across Africa.
