Job Title: Production Manager

About the client and role
Our client, a leading industrial manufacturer, is seeking a dedicated Production Manager to support its production department. The role focuses on ensuring seamless execution of production plans, driving process standardization and improvement, and maintaining high-quality standards. Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager, the Production Manager plays a critical role in operational excellence, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Manage daily production operations to achieve targets within planned timelines.
• Execute directives from the Senior Operations Manager and align with departmental goals.
• Drive continuous process improvement to boost productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Coordinate production workflow, ensuring optimal allocation of sewing operators.
• Ensure effective use of resources and skills to meet production and quality objectives.
• Collaborate with the Engineering department on layout updates and workspace optimization.
• Implement work instructions issued by Engineering and Quality departments.
• Suggest improvements to workflows for enhanced compliance and productivity.
• Identify process gaps and communicate them to Engineering for resolution.
• Manage administrative tasks related to production operations.
Team Leadership
• Promote and enforce high standards of behavior and professionalism.
• Foster a performance-driven culture through active engagement and recognition.
• Monitor and guide team performance, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Respond proactively to customer needs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Audits & Systems
• Participate in internal audits including LPA, 5S, and Manufacturing System assessments.
General Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment:
• Comply with and promote health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Train team members on safe working practices and environmental standards.
• Engage in incident investigations and support risk mitigation.
• Drive ergonomic improvements and waste reduction strategies.
Quality:
• Adhere to quality policies and contribute to ongoing quality improvements.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
5S Implementation:
• Uphold 5S principles in all workspaces.
• Lead 5S training sessions and embed best practices in the team.
Training & Development:
• Participate in all mandatory and career-enhancing training programs.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and team learning.
Skills and Qualifications
• Education: University degree.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar production management role.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in SAP, APQP, Lean Manufacturing, and Problem Solving techniques.
• Languages:
* Advanced in English
* Advanced in French
