Procurement Manager

By leveraging UM6P’s scientific excellence, world-class infrastructure, and broad network of investors and partners, The Growth Engine aims to create long-term value and drive the emergence of transformative ventures.

As it builds its leadership team, The Growth Engine is recruiting its Procurement Lead to centralize and streamline procurement processes to secure vendor value, ensure compliance, and enable rapid sourcing for pilots and shared services across the Growth Engine and its ventures.

Key Responsibilities

* Implement robust procurement governance to optimize cost and vendor relationships while supporting innovation programs.
* Source and negotiate with vendors to secure competitive terms
* Manage contracts in collaboration with Legal team
* Optimize cost structures and track savings
* Maintain preferred vendor lists and run competitive RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ, etc.) processes
* Ensure alignment with compliance standards
* Fast-track procurement processes for innovation pilots
* Build a shared services catalog for ventures
* Deliver internal training on procurement best practices

Profile & Qualifications

* At least 8-10 years proven experience in procurement within a corporate or innovation setting, with exposure to multi-vendor management
* Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills
* ERP system proficiency for procurement
* Vendor performance tracking
* Strong influencing skills, commercial acumen, detail-oriented, collaborative
* Ability to balance compliance and speed in procurement processes
* Expertise in procurement and vendor management
* Negotiation and cost optimization
* ERP system knowledge
* English and French (professional fluency)
* Spend analytics and procurement risk management and Compliance and ESG alignment knowledge would be a plus
