Purpose of the Job

HSE Leader is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health, safety, and environmental policies and programs to ensure a safe and compliant working environment for all employees. This role involves promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across the organization.

Job Description
* Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. 
* Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. 
* Lead the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. 
* Provide training and guidance to employees on HSE practices, policies, and emergency procedures. 
* Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, analyzing trends and recommending improvements to enhance safety and environmental performance. 
* Collaborate with management and employees to foster a culture of safety and promote best practices in health, safety, and environmental management. 
* Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and emerging trends in HSE management. 
* Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure preparedness for potential emergencies. 
* Liaise with external regulatory agencies and auditors regarding compliance and inspections. 
* Prepare and present HSE reports and updates to senior management.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

Education: 

* Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related field is preferred. 
* Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are highly desirable.

Experience: 

* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry. 
* Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE programs and conducting safety audits.
