As STM enters a new phase of growth and modernization, we are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the transformation of our technical operations, engineering divisions, and technology strategy across the group.

Job Description

We are looking for an accomplished and forward-thinking Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our executive leadership team in Tangier. This role combines operational leadership with strategic technology management and is central to STM’s evolution into a high-performance, innovation-driven technology organization.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience overseeing diverse technical teams, including infrastructure, networks, IT systems, software engineering, and R&D, and demonstrates strong architectural expertise, organizational leadership, and the ability to scale technical operations effectively.

The CTO will define STM’s technology vision, ensure operational excellence across all technical departments, and drive strategic initiatives in cloud, cybersecurity, software development, hardware integration, and advanced technologies.

Responsibilities

Technology Leadership and Strategy

Define STM’s overall technology vision, roadmap, and long-term strategy.

Lead the modernization and restructuring of all technical divisions to support growth and scalability.

Establish group-wide engineering standards, methodologies, and best practices.

Ensure alignment between technology initiatives and business objectives.

Operational Excellence

Oversee daily operations of all technical teams across infrastructure, networks, systems, and maintenance.

Ensure high-quality execution of client projects, installations, and service-level commitments.

Supervise and validate infrastructure deployments, system architectures, network environments, and equipment integration.

Develop and implement performance monitoring, reporting systems, and operational KPIs.

Engineering and R&D Leadership

Guide software engineering teams through the design, development, and delivery of high-quality digital solutions.

Drive innovation and oversee R&D efforts across AI, computer vision, embedded systems, and other emerging technology areas.

Ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable system architectures across STM’s technology ecosystem.

Promote modern engineering practices, including DevOps, CI/CD, testing automation, and architectural governance.

Cybersecurity and Cloud Management

Define and enforce cybersecurity policies, compliance standards, and data protection frameworks.

Oversee STM’s cloud architecture and hybrid infrastructures.

Lead security audits, risk assessments, and resilience planning, including disaster recovery and business continuity.

People and Organizational Leadership

Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing multi-disciplinary technical organization.

Recruit technical managers, engineers, architects, and other key roles to support STM’s expansion.

Create a strong engineering culture focused on accountability, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Drive internal knowledge sharing, documentation, and process maturity.

Executive Responsibilities

Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team.

Collaborate closely with the CEO and other executives on strategic planning and business decision-making.

Oversee technology budgets, investments, and resource allocation across divisions.

Represent STM in strategic partnerships, client engagements, and high-level technical discussions.

Requirements

At least 10 years of experience in senior technology leadership roles.

Demonstrated success managing multi-disciplinary teams in infrastructure, systems, networks, software engineering, and/or R&D.

Strong architectural expertise across IT systems, networks, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity.

Experience with modern software engineering practices, DevOps methodologies, and scalable system design.

Understanding of advanced technology domains such as AI, analytics, hardware integration, or embedded systems is a strong advantage.

Proven ability to lead organizational transformation, scale teams, and improve operational performance.

Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Ability to thrive in complex environments and drive clarity and structure across multiple technical domains.
