Carline Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

1. The Serial Life Carline manager for serial Life/Mass production, under the authority of the Serial Life Chief Vehicle Engineer, is in charge of the modifications for the specific carline and their alignement with the carline QCTP objectives, by carrying out the actions necessary to their elaboration, consolidation and MANAGEMENT:
2. Implements and coordinates the scheduling of the modifications on the carline to ensure consistency with QCTP targets
3. Builds and monitors with stakeholders the modifications activities and processes on the carline
4. Manages the carline diversity and all action plans to respect it

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Leads the design, industrialization and launch of the modifications (quality, costs, product, capacity,…) planned on the carline, relying on the QCTP managers’ teams (managers and specialists / pilots)
2. Coordinates the stakeholders’ activities for these modifications: decision with Planning, product codification with Brand, BOM with PFDI, change process with functions or external resources (if work package), purchasing, procurement, logistic and launch with Manufacturing
3. Manages the industrialization phase of the platform and modules transversal modifications impacting the carline
4. In case the carline is produced in various Plants, coordinates the Serial Life activities in each plant to ensure QCTP consistency in all plants
5. Represents the serial life Engineering team in the plant.
6. Manages with Planning (in Profitability Improvement Teams- PIT), Brand and Manufacturing Departments the consistency of these modifications with the carline QCTP targets, including diversity and capacity
7. Provides the QCTP synthesis for the carline, defines the associated action plan to converge to targets and presents the carline status in milestones.
8. Manages the answer to a DEX (‘’Demandes Exploratoires’’ i.e. new requests on product or regulatory content) with elements impacting the carline
9. In case the carline is produced in a joint-venture, provides the inputs, information and lesson learned to JV teams on all the modifications
10. Remark : a specific MCA manager is usually appointed for the Mid-Cycle Action, but –depending on the perimeter size-, the Serial Life Carline manager can take the lead of the MCA project.

* Education: BAC + 5 (Industrial Engineering)
* Work Experience: 12 Years
* Language: French, English and Arabic
* Preferred Skills & Abilities: Project and Team Management - Vehicle Design and Development – Automotive - Standards and Regulation
* Personal Traits: Disciplined and proactive / Very Good Leadership
* Specialized Knowledge & Certifications: Project management / Technical Change management.
* Mobility: Yes
