Global Mission: The Buy Components/Materials Manager is entrusted with the critical mission of scrutinizing the entire logistic process design and evaluating preliminary decisions in the target plant. They are expected to approach each aspect with a challenging mindset, aiming to minimize costs and investments. Their expertise will be pivotal in preparing comparative profitability analyses for alternative process scenarios, providing the management team with sensible suggestions that enable informed best-cost decision-making.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough checks of the supplier process design and assess preliminary decisions with a focus on cost minimization and investment reduction.
* Prepare and present comparative profitability analyses for alternative process scenarios to aid management in making informed decisions.
* Provide weekly reports to Management on implemented best-cost choices, further opportunities for cost reduction, and consolidated transformation costs and investments.
Must-Have Skills:
* Extensive field experience regarding supplier processes, costs, and investments.
* A solid understanding of STLA Costing and Price BreakDowns, with the ability to receive additional training if necessary.
* Access to global CTPC and Regional Purchasing data, including regional supplier quotations and mother plants’ supplier price breakdowns for similar programs.
* A no-compromise mindset to investigate and challenge technical and financial data.
* A result-oriented business mindset, capable of making suggestions backed by clearly consolidated numbers.
* Fluency in English.
Interfaces:
* closely with the Cost Manager, Advanced Development, and Program Purchasing Manager.
* Engage in the program from inception until completion, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with the project's financial and technical objectives.
