Warehouse Operations supervisor

YOUR ROLE

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the site’s operational activities (receiving, storage, order preparation with or without transformation, etc.), by adapting human and material resources with a focus on profitability.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Management

* Ensure compliance with and enforcement of site safety rules
* Supervision and evaluation of a team
* Conduct daily and weekly meetings with the admin and operations teams

Client and Supplier Relations

* Manage relationships with clients
* Participate in preparing technical and commercial proposals for new clients
* Prepare and coordinate internal and external visits
* Manage relationships with service providers
* Monitor costs and validate purchases

Operations Control

* Adapt and optimize operational tools and resources according to activity volume
* Plan schedules and staffing (activity shutdowns, on-call duty, vacations,etc.)
* Update and monitor performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when needed

Coordinate and ensure the operational and administrative onboarding of new clients

Billing and Collections

* Ensure timely client billing before month-end closing
* Reconcile billed revenue vs. reported revenue on the financial P&L at the end of each month
* Monitor client receivables and support the collections manager by providing all operational elements needed to resolve payment delays

Perform other assigned tasks as needed.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

* Degree in engineering or business, with a specialization in logistics or industrial engineering
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing medium to large volume accounts in the contract logistics sector
* Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and office tools
* Strong knowledge of storage processes, safety standards and procedures, and a deep understanding of contract logistics regulations
* Rigorous management of client billing under responsibility
* Ability to build strong business relationships and negotiate contracts
* Ability to analyze technical problems and propose effective solutions
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Fluency in French and English
