The Senior Engineer, Reservoir Surveillance reports directly to the Manager, Reservoir Surveillance and is responsible for overseeing the entire production system from reservoir through well to surface facilities while ensuring safe operations at all times. The role focuses on optimizing daily oil and gas production to maximize asset value and acts as the main technical support for offshore operations by conducting daily well monitoring, performing reservoir surveillance analysis, and providing actionable recommendations. The engineer is also responsible for achieving production, injection, and emission targets by managing performance across assigned fields. This includes leading well surveillance, monitoring production performance and facility efficiency, optimizing output, minimizing production losses, and planning and executing production enhancement and debottlenecking initiatives.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Monitor well and reservoir data to identify optimization opportunities and improve production.
* Use PI system to track well and field performance, identify issues, and act quickly to avoid disruptions.
* Compare actual vs. planned performance to ensure optimal field output.
* Validate production, deferment, and well test data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
* Identify and resolve causes of production loss and implement recovery plans.
* Remove bottlenecks and restore production to full potential.
* Support wireline activities (e.g., waxcut, GLVC) to maintain and improve production.
* Track and manage production losses using internal systems.
* Reduce deferments through effective planning, especially for wireline interventions.
* Focus on restoring wells not producing at full potential.
* Develop reservoir management plans, surveillance programs, and production targets.
* Coordinate with relevant teams on surveillance activities and interventions.
* Work with operations for logistical support and execution.
* Participate in regulatory and partner surveillance reviews.
* Ensure compliance with production, injection, and emission targets.
* Optimize gas lift distribution and maintain system accuracy.
* Plan and track idle well restoration activities.
* Maintain accurate wells and field production data for analysis.
* Prepare and validate all production-related reports and databases.
* Monitor wells’ capacity vs. actual performance and troubleshoot issues.
* Ensure monthly well testing compliance and manage exceptions.
* Maintain accurate reservoir and well documentation.
* Manage PWST sampling and data verification.
* Prepare wireline programs and update intervention priorities.
* Forecast short-term production for planning and lifting.
* Analyse production vs. actual output discrepancies.
* Coordinate multi-discipline data gathering and planning.
* Monitor well integrity and support intervention planning.
* Ensure wireline job execution with adequate spares and planning.
* Report any data inconsistencies in measurement or system errors.
* Monitor and mitigate high H2S risks in wells with daily tracking.
* Act as the main point of contact for production matters.
* Attend regular operations, wells, and planning meetings.
* Contribute to internal reports (e.g., AMIR, WPB, OPR).
* Update deferment and critical equipment tracking.
* Provide offshore teams with programs and instructions for troubleshooting.
* Handle partner and regulator communications and ensure timely delivery of technical documentation.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Engineering discipline, or other relevant technical fields from a recognized university or institution.
* 10 to 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
* Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in production operations with well and reservoir surveillance knowledge.
* Strong understanding of reservoir and petroleum engineering principles.
* Proficiency in software such as OFM, Saphir, and PETEX suite (PROSPER, MBAL, GAP, PVTp) is an advantage.
* Capable of working independently and delivering tasks on time.
* Effective in cross-functional communication with teams including studies, offshore, operations, MPM, and PCSB.
* Skilled in production surveillance, optimization, and artificial lift systems.
* Familiar with water and gas injection systems.
* Knowledgeable in well services operations and surface facilities.
* Excellent coordination, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Self-motivated with a proactive and collaborative work style.
