This position is responsible and accountable for sales activities to automotive OEMs, Tier Suppliers. The sales engineer works closely with the Sales Director to develop the sales plan for his/her accounts to fulfill revenue and profitability goals and ensure maximum sales volumes of the company´s products and services.

He/she is responsible for developing and expanding markets for the company´s products and works closely with product development, application engineering to develop products to support prospective and existing costumer needs.

Essential duties and responsabilities:

1. Perform North of Africa sales activities of Hutchinson Precision Sealing Sytems as assigned by the sales director.

2. Participate in the development of sales strategies for North of Africa sales.

3. Agressively grow the sales to the OEM, Tier, and distribution automotive markets as assigned.

4. Negotiate contracts and sales agreements.

5. Assist product development and application engineers to develop technical product solutions that meet customer needs.

6. Consults with product development, R&D and/or Manufacturing engineering in the preparation of pricing RFQ´s.

7. Provide costumer support through technical knowledge of products and their use in the industry, technical trends and competitor strengths and weakness.

8. Respond to internal and external customer requests for technical information for company products and their sales upon application engineering support.

The candidat must :

  • Have a 2 to 3 years experience in automotive industry.

  • Have the aptitude to understand technical requirements and solutions

  • Be goals and results oriented.

  • Be able to travel over 50% of the time.

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Have proven negotiating skills.

  • Have a good level in English.

  • Be proficient on spreadsheet applications, word processing and presentation software.
