Core Duties and Responsibilitie :
Direct Sales / Strategy:
• Sell new and existing exhibitions to achieve strategic and financial targets
• Remain abreast of developments within the exhibition industry, especially sales innovations
• Research and visit competitive exhibitions to source new ideas and market practices while selling clients into event
• Delivery and tracking of all sales-related financial revenues vs. targets
• Complete key account management acquisition and retention strategy and programs
• Produce new sales initiatives for maximum client retention and acquisition
• Provide at least 2x sponsored features each year
• Daily monitoring and tracking of individual / team sales progress and performance
• Sponsorship: Develop sponsorship and non-space revenue opportunities
Marketing:
• Work with the project team to devise and implement strategies, policies and procedures for marketing & communications activities and its portfolio of exhibitions
• Develop innovative marketing campaigns, tools and activities
• Assist the project in pitching for corporate sponsors
• Undertake the development and production of all marketing collateral in conjunction with Project Managers across range of regional and international exhibitions from the company portfolio
• Work with the team to develop the shows through database building, research and enhanced exhibition offerings e.g. conference programmes, gala dinners, awards ceremony’s
• Source, negotiate and manage external support agencies including printers, design, marketing, PR, photography and media
• Develop and research new show ideas and markets
Qualifications :
• Formal qualification in a business, and or sales/ marketing management degree or related disciplines
• Strong sales, marketing, interpersonal and negotiating skills required
• A minimum of 5 years sales and marketing experience in the exhibitions industry and the ability to remain updated on the latest industry market knowledge.
