Overview

Responsible for providing legal and labor support to the company, including contract review, legal expertise on labor-related issues, contractual obligations, and general corporate law. Coordinates with external parties such as vendors, government agencies, and external legal counsel. Serves as the company’s official representative on labor litigation and criminal litigation matters unless otherwise directed. Works closely with HR Business Partners to ensure compliance with applicable Moroccan labor laws and regulations. Acts as the in-house labor law expert and is expected to research, develop, and conduct training sessions for HR professionals and line management regarding labor legislation and other legal matters impacting the business. Maintains ownership of providing timely legal and regulatory updates to the HR team.


* Provides updates on current legal and jurisprudential developments that may impact company operations in Morocco.
* Keeps abreast of all amendments, updates, and implementing regulations related to Moroccan labor law and ensures all relevant stakeholders, including HR professionals and leadership teams, are informed accordingly.
* Acts as the first point of resolution for labor-related complaints and employment disputes filed before Moroccan labor authorities and courts. Coordinates with HR teams, including HR Business Partners, Compensation & Benefits, and Talent Acquisition, regarding updates and action plans for ongoing labor cases.
* Conducts continuous legal research, drafts legal opinions, contracts, and other legal documentation related to labor disputes, criminal litigation, and contractual agreements entered into by the company. This includes preparation and submission of documentation required by Moroccan labor authorities and judicial bodies.
* Serves as the primary point of contact for local leadership teams, including Finance and HR, regarding vendor contract reviews and negotiations, particularly on matters involving contractual obligations, compliance risks, and legal exposure.


Required skills + qualities (technical):

* Bachelor's/College Degree , Post Graduate Diploma / Master's Degree
* Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Law or equivalent
* At least 6-8 years of relevant labor experience


Required skills + qualities (non-technical):

* Above Average problem-solving and decision making skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, French and Arabic.
* Excellent public presentation skills.
