Junior Back-End Developer

SOWIT is an Agtech startup living at the crossroads of remote sensing, AI and agronomy, which goal is to build products fitted to serve the African smallholder farmers, through intense field iterations and user centric design.

With its solutions, SOWIT aims at helping farmers better understand their lands through active fertilization, irrigation & harvest management.

In order to bring these solutions to the farmers, we build a WEB & MOBILE applications that provide to the smallholders aa user-friendly environment where complex satellite data are digested into simple maps showing the farms’ water stress and biomass content.

In order to scale our solutions, we are looking for committed & passionate back-end developers to join our roadmap for helping the African farmer achieve its potential.

The preferred Back-End Dev is as follows, but we welcome people from all horizons.

* Python (FastAPI  Django)
* PostgreSQL (queries, functions, basic performance)
* Async tasks / background processing (Celery or similar)
* Building and maintaining APIs
* Docker / Docker Compose
* Cloud deployment experience (Azure or similar) is a plus
