We are a fast-growing Alternative Payment Method (APM) provider a global footprint across India, the Middle East, Europe and South America, preparing for expansion into Morocco. Our mission is to build secure, seamless, and accessible digital payment infrastructure across borders. We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join our growing team in Morocco.
As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for establishing and leading the financial function of our Morocco operations as we expand into this key North African market. You will play a critical role in ensuring financial compliance, shaping commercial strategy, and managing local and regional financial operations. This is a high-impact leadership role for a commercially astute finance professional with experience in high-growth fintech or payments environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Finance & Leadership
* Develop and execute the financial strategy for the Morocco business unit in alignment with global objectives.
* Advise the leadership team on financial planning, funding, and investment decisions.
* Build and lead a high-performing local finance team as the operation scales.
Financial Operations & Reporting
* Oversee all accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functions.
* Ensure compliance with Moroccan tax, legal, and regulatory requirements (e.g. VAT, CNSS, Bank Al-Maghrib reporting).
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Treasury & Cash Flow
* Manage working capital, cash flow, and liquidity planning for the Moroccan entity.
* Optimize local banking relationships and FX exposure in a multi-currency environment.
Risk & Controls
* Establish financial controls and processes that support operational excellence and scalability.
* Mitigate financial and regulatory risks through robust internal controls and audits.
Market Entry & Expansion Support
* Support entity setup, licensing, and registration with Moroccan regulatory authorities.
* Conduct market analysis, cost modeling, and pricing support for local product offerings.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Product, and Commercial teams to enable successful market penetration.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
* 8–12 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
* Proven track record in fintech, payments, or financial services – ideally in emerging markets
* Deep understanding of Moroccan financial, tax, and regulatory frameworks.
* Strong commercial acumen and business partnering capability.
* Fluent in French and English; Arabic is a plus.
