The UM6P Institute of Applied Physics constitutes a dynamic community comprising faculty members, students, postdocs, and administrative and technical staff, all dedicated to UM6P’s mission as a student-centered research university. The institute's research focuses on establishing advanced research and education environments, nurturing upcoming generations of physicists and faculty, particularly emphasizing Condensed Matter Physics, Nanoscience, Photonics, Nuclear, Cosmology, and Particle Physics.
The UM6P Engineering Physics School (EPS), established by UM6P, stands as a premier engineering physics school in Morocco. Over a three-year program, it trains physicists to emerge as future entrepreneurs, leaders, and professionals in the Kingdom and across Africa. The program awards an EPS engineering degree, and its education and research are developed at the UM6P Institute of Applied Physics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Grant Research and Identification:
Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
* Grant Proposal Development:
Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to develop compelling and persuasive grant proposals.
Ensure that proposals meet the guidelines and requirements of funding organizations.
* Grant Application Submission:
Prepare and submit grant applications, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and deadline adherence.
Coordinate with the finance department to compile necessary financial information for grant applications.
* Grant Compliance and Reporting:
Monitor and ensure compliance with grant terms, conditions, and reporting requirements.
Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports to funding agencies.
* Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with funding agencies, partners, and other stakeholders.
Communicate effectively with grantors, providing updates and information as required.
* Budget Management:
Collaborate with finance and program teams to develop and manage budgets for grant-funded projects.
Monitor expenditures and ensure alignment with grant budgets.
Grant Evaluation and Impact Assessment:
Work with program evaluation teams to assess the impact of grant-funded projects.
Contribute to the development of metrics to measure the success and outcomes of grant initiatives.
* Training and Capacity Building:
Provide training and support to staff involved in grant-related activities. Develop related teaching curriculum.
Stay informed about changes in grant regulations and share knowledge with the organization.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in grant management, including successful grant writing and administration.
* Strong understanding of grant regulations, compliance, and reporting requirements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
