What you’ll do:
* Build and lead the founding engineering organization
* Define architecture, engineering standards, and development processes
* Stay deeply hands-on in backend and infrastructure decisions
* Review Rails and React Native code daily
* Build scalable AI-native workflows across the platform
* Hire and mentor a distributed engineering and AI team
* Work closely with founders on product and execution

Requirements: Must-have — applications without these will not be considered.
* 10+ years in software engineering — mandatory
* Previous experience as CTO, VP Engineering, or Head of Engineering in a startup — mandatory
* Strong production experience with Ruby on Rails at scale — mandatory
* Experience shipping AI-powered features in production (LLMs, agents, RAG, ML workflows) — mandatory
* Comfortable making architecture decisions across backend, mobile, infra, and AI — mandatory
* Fluent English — mandatory
Strong pluses:
* Marketplace or vertical SaaS experience
* Consumer or community-platform background
* AI agents or recommendation systems in production
* Multi-country engineering team management
* Experience scaling products internationally
