Job Purpose:
To support the Finance and accounting Department in ensuring accurate financial records, managing daily accounting tasks, and assisting with reporting and reconciliation activities. The Financial and Accounting Assistant Specialist plays a key role in maintaining the financial health of the company and ensuring compliance with internal processes and external regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Operations
Record daily financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Assist in processing invoices, expense forms, and payment requests.
Maintain proper filing of financial documents and records.
Help with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
2. Financial Reconciliation & Reporting
Perform regular bank reconciliations.
Support the preparation of financial reports, including sales and expense reports.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.
3. Support to Retail Operations
Coordinate with store teams to ensure timely submission of sales and cash reports.
Assist with inventory accounting and reconciliation processes.
Monitor store petty cash usage and ensure accurate recording.
4. Compliance & Audit
Assist in preparing documentation for audits and financial reviews.
Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and policies.
Help ensure tax compliance by preparing required documents and reports.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
* 2+ years of experience in a similar finance/accounting role, preferably in retail.
* Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations in Morocco.
* Familiarity with accounting software (SAP, or similar tools).
* Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good English communication and teamwork skills.
