As a Financial Analyst, you’ll support the controller with a focus on revenue recognition under IFRS 15. A good understanding of accounting principles and an interest in learning about business operations will support your success in this role.

Your day-to-day

* Support month-end and year-end closing processes;
* Develop a strong understanding of Alithya’s service offerings and support the team in calculating month-end revenue recognition;
* Participate in document analysis and controls tasks in order to comply with SOX and 52-109 requirements.;
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, legal, and operations, to gather relevant information for accurate revenue recognition;
* Support Alithya’s external auditors in their quarterly and annual audits;
* Contribute to ad hoc financial analyses, process improvement initiatives, and special projects as required.

Keys to your success

* Bachelor's degree in accounting;
* 3 to 5 years of relevant experience;
* Understanding of IFRS 15 and revenue recognition principles;
* Strong Excel abilities;
* Good analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.

Extra edge

* CPA or CPA in-progress;
* Experience in the service or software industry;
* Experience with long-term project accounting.
