About the Role
One of our clients is looking for a Business Development Executive to drive the company’s growth by expanding our customer base and building strategic partnerships. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on spotting opportunities, starting meaningful conversations, and turning them into long-term relationships that help more people discover how Pie makes tax simple and stress-free.
Key Responsibilities
* Research and identify new business opportunities through lead lists, networking groups, and industry events.
* Proactively reach out to potential partners, affiliates, and customers via calls, emails, social platforms, and events.
* Build strong, trust-based relationships with prospects and partners.
* Create and deliver compelling proposals that clearly demonstrate the company's value.
* Negotiate and close deals that deliver mutual benefits for the company and its partners.
* Collaborate with marketing and product teams to design campaigns and offers that drive conversions.
* Keep accurate records in the CRM to ensure visibility of pipeline progress and data-driven improvements.
* Consistently achieve (and aim to exceed) monthly lead, conversion, and revenue targets.
Must-Have Qualifications
* Proven experience in sales or business development, ideally in SaaS, fintech, or related fields.
* A confident and friendly communicator, able to adapt your style to different audiences.
* Strong negotiation skills and the ability to convert interest into signed agreements.
* Self-motivation with a results-driven mindset.
* Organised with strong time management skills and experience using CRM tools.
Nice-to-Have
* Experience selling to freelancers, contractors, or small business owners.
* Knowledge of UK tax, accounting, or financial services.
