Our client, a leading international manufacturer of professional equipment for the hospitality and industrial sectors, is seeking an Export Area Manager to drive business development and market expansion across selected African countries. This role combines strategic commercial management, project coordination, and cross-cultural relationship building. Key Responsibilities
Commercial Management & Market Development
* Support in prospecting, negotiating, and following up with distributors and end customers across various African markets.
* Monitor business opportunities (hotel, hospital, industrial, and institutional projects).
* Collaborate in preparing and tracking commercial proposals, budgets, and contracts.
* Ensure smooth and proactive communication with local distributors, aligning strategies and meeting agreed timelines.
Project & Operations Management
* Coordinate with internal teams (pricing, logistics, credit, aftersales) to ensure flawless project execution.
* Oversee the full order cycle — from quotation to delivery and post-installation follow-up.
* Maintain documentation integrity (proformas, shipping documents, contracts, Cesce records) and ensure full traceability.
Marketing & Market Relations (when required)
* Support in organizing events, trade shows, and brand activation initiatives (launches, showrooms, roadshows, etc.).
* Collect market insights (trends, competitors, pricing, positioning).
* Collaborate on creating and adapting promotional materials for African markets (Portuguese, French, English, Arabic).
Analytics & Reporting
* Prepare commercial performance reports (sales, forecasts, campaigns, discounts).
* Keep client and project databases and dashboards up to date.
* Analyze KPIs and suggest corrective actions or growth opportunities.
Profile & Core Competencies
* Education: Degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
* Experience: 3–5 years’ experience in commercial or export roles, ideally within industrial equipment, hospitality, refrigeration, or machinery sectors.
* Languages: Fluent in Arabic, English, and French (mandatory), additional languages will be highly valued.
