Role Overview:

We are looking for a Validation Component Leader (VCL) to support Powertrain projects (ICE, Hybrid & EV).

The VCL is responsible for the verification & validation of Engine Control Modules (ECM), ensuring compliance with functional, electrical, and electronic requirements while supporting performance, emissions, fuel consumption, and drivability targets.

Main responsibilities:

• Define, manage, and maintain the Verification & Validation Plan (VVP)

• Coordinate validation activities on HIL benches, Powertrain benches, integration benches, and vehicles

• Ensure software pre-acceptance and acceptance before release to projects

• Analyze software defects, technical issues, and non-conformities

• Support root cause analysis and contribute to technical issue resolution

• Review supplier deliverables, validation plans, and validation reports

• Ensure consistency and testability of ECM functional specifications

• Monitor validation progress, risks, and project milestones with project teams

• Coordinate with testing, technical expertise, and calibration teams

• Support vehicle validation activities, including extreme conditions testing (hot/cold/altitude)

• Ensure reporting, traceability, KPI follow-up, and documentation compliance

• Contribute to continuous improvement of validation methods, processes, and test coverage

Key deliverables:

• Targeted Design Validation Plan (DVP)

• Pre-Acceptance Test Plan

• Verification & Validation Reports (VVR)

• HIL Bench Specifications

• VCL Dashboard & One Pager reporting

• Validated and robust ECM ready for industrialization

Required skills:

• Experience in automotive embedded systems validation

• Strong knowledge of HIL, software validation, and functional testing

• ECM / Powertrain systems understanding

• Ability to coordinate cross-functional activities and suppliers

• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of ICE, Hybrid, or EV architectures is a plus

Experience:

Typically 5–10 years of experience in automotive validation, embedded systems, or powertrain development.
