Job Summary
The Travel & Expense Analyst role is part of Swissport Business Shared Services Centre in Casablanca, Morocco. The role is responsible for managing employee travel and expense (T&E) processes, ensuring timely and accurate expense reimbursements, enforcing compliance with company policies, and supporting approval workflows. This role includes processing expense reports, auditing T&E transactions, and ensuring that all travel and expense-related activities adhere to company policies.
Job Responsibilities
Expense Processing & Auditing
* Enter and validate expense claims in the T&E management system.
* Audit expense reports and receipts for accuracy, compliance with company policies, and VAT regulations.
* Ensure timely posting and reimbursement of travel expenses.
* Identify policy violations, flag non-compliant transactions, and escalate as necessary.
* Perform post-audit checks to detect duplicate, missing, or incorrect transactions.
Employee T&E Helpdesk Support & Query Handling
* Respond to employee queries related to expense reimbursements, travel policies, and system issues.
* Assist employees in resolving corporate card issues, declined transactions, and missing expense submissions.
* Provide training or guidance on how to use the travel booking system and expense tools.
* Ensure all queries and escalations are handled within the agreed turnaround time.
Compliance, Reporting & Documentation
* Ensure all T&E transactions adhere to statutory regulations, tax requirements, and audit policies.
* Maintain detailed records of travel expenses, bookings, and compliance checks for audit purposes.
* Generate reports on travel costs, expense trends, and policy violations for management review.
* Support external and internal audits by preparing relevant T&E data and documentation.
Qualifications
* Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
* Professional-level proficiency in English is required
* Experience in Travel & Expense Management, Accounts Payable, Finance Shared Services, or a similar environment
* Hands-on experience with expense management tools such as SAP Concur, AMEX, Oracle, or Workday
* Previous experience in a multinational company or shared services environment is preferred
* Experience with VAT, tax compliance, and audit requirements related to travel expenses is a plus
* Knowledge of corporate travel policies and approval workflows
* Experience in driving process improvement initiatives
* Strong attention to detail and ability to audit expenses efficiently
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data insights for decision-making
* Excellent communication skills to support employees and liaise with stakeholders
* Ability to handle high-volume transactions in a structured and organized manner
* Service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to compliance and process improvements
* Hands-on, results-driven, with a can-do attitude and the ability to work with limited resources
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly across a complex organization
