Supplier Quality Engineer (Fixed-term contract – Maternity replacement)

YOUR ROLE

Ensure the evaluation of raw material suppliers, carry out actions to improve product quality and monitor the development of new components until they are approved in accordance with quality standards.

Responsibilities

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be in charge of these various accountabilities:

* Participate in the improvement of the quality of the finished product;
* Pushing suppliers to reduce the rate of defective parts (Raw Materials) per million by using the appropriate tools (quality workshops, the eight-step process...) ;
* Approve new suppliers (supplier validation questionnaires, validation report...);
* Carry out audits at suppliers' sites, ensure the conformity of their processes and help them to improve the quality of their products;
* Transmit the quality approaches of the customer and Aptiv to suppliers;
* Accompany the development of new suppliers and help them acquire the standards required by the company;
* Ensure the validation process of new PPAP components;
* Follow up the quality performance of suppliers;
* Convene meetings with suppliers if necessary;
* Follow up on cost recovery from supplier quality issues;

YOUR BACKGROUND

* Bac+5 / Engineering degree in a technical education (or equivalent)
* Advanced English is mandatory
* Knowledge of manufacturing process
* Strong analytical and synthesis skills
* Problem solving techniques
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a proactive attitude
