Ensuring the robust, safe and reliable operation of the infrastructure that enables SCI's core operating platforms and end users
Role purpose
As a member of the Enterprise Technology team, the role holder will be responsible for selecting, implementing and managing digital workplace solutions using Microsoft and other technologies. The role will monitor for any potential issues in digital workplace technologies, taking remedial action/escalating where necessary, and will participate in digital workplace improvement projects.
Working with vendors and other stakeholders this role will proactively identify the future roadmap for our digital workplace solutions, including release planning, feature releases and upgrades. The role will also be responsible for capacity planning and demand forecasting for licenses and ensuring SCI achieves best value in their procurement.
This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, CoreView and related services to enhance productivity, collaboration, and security within the organization by collaborating and interacting with other colleagues across the wider IT team and other SCI functions.

Principal Accountabilities
* Define and execute a comprehensive digital workplace strategy for SCI digital workplace solutions, including Microsoft 365 applications, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure Active Directory. This strategy aligns with business needs, fostering relevant innovation, continuoous improvement and drive operational excellence.
* Develop technical roadmaps, policies, standards, engineering procedures, and blueprints for relevant digital workplace products.
* Provide assessment, analysis and recommendations for requests for the provision new tools and/or enhanced levels of licence from stakeholders
* Optimize the use of collaboration tools to enhance communication and teamwork across the organization.
* Oversee deployment planning, scheduling, control, installations, and lifecycle management of digital workplace software, including upgrades and end-of-life replacements for the technology stack.
* Provide technical support, guidance and training to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize digital workplace tools.
* In conjuction with other team members, support and maintain CoreView, license pools, license entitlements and assignments, ensuring the align with CO requirements and relevant licence agreements.
* Comply at all times with SCI security protocols and Save the Children’s Child Protection Policy to protect organizational data and ensure compliance with standards.
* Enable the rollout and adoption of AI tools within SCI’s ecosystem providing guidance on setup, configuration, and deployment in coordination with the AI Team to ensure alignment with organizational goals and user needs.
* Stay updated with developments in Microsoft and other relevant digital workplace technologies and best practices, recommending improvements and additions to existing approved applications list.
Essential
Experience and Skills
* Proficiency in administration, configuration and operation of Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure Active Directory.
* Experience of designing and deploying innovative solutions in core Microsoft technologies with knowledge of system security and compliance standards.
* Experienced as a system administrator or similar role with in-depth understanding of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory implementations.
* Desirable experience in handling critical system issues and providing support to ensure Digital Workplace stability, including experience collaborating with vendors like Microsoft for support and issue escalation.
* Experience in collaborating with vendors like Microsoft to establish roadmaps for products and tools that align with business need and extract best value from those products .
* Knowledge of IT security principles, including threat analysis and mitigation strategies.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Knowledge of using IT service management and change management processes and tools, in accordance with recognized industry standards such as ITIL
Essential
Education and Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Desirable
* ITIL Certification
* Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals) are highly desirable.
