Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership: Manage, motivate, and guide operational teams; set priorities and goals.
* Operational Oversight: Organize and control terminal operations during shifts; act as deputy to Head of Execution.
* Planning & Coordination: Monitor terminal planning to meet vessel schedules; address potential issues proactively.
* Equipment & Safety: Coordinate with Asset Management to ensure equipment availability; enforce safety policies and practices.
* On-Site Presence: Maintain visibility across quay and yard operations; prepare operational reports.
* Staff Development: Monitor performance, provide feedback, and support training for supervisory staff.
* Process Improvement: Collaborate with Customer Services to enhance procedures and systems.
* Shift Flexibility: Work across shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
* Continuous Improvement: Contribute to refining methodologies, processes, and performance metrics.
We are looking for:
* Education & Experience:
* Master / Engineering diploma with extensive operations experience or a degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
* 5+ years supervisory experience in container operations or similar industry
* Technical & Industry Knowledge:
* Deep understanding of container terminal operations, vessel cargo logistics, hazardous and special cargo handling.
* Familiar with IMO regulations and international safety standards.
* Advanced computer skills and knowledge of modern terminal planning/control systems.
* Leadership & People Skills:
* Ability to lead teams, foster cooperation, and develop staff.
* Promote teamwork while achieving operational objectives.
* Other Requirements:
* Fluent in English and local language (where applicable).

* Lean-oriented with a strong focus on continuous improvement
