Role Overview:
Mission
The Schematics engineer is responsible to create schematics that model all required connectivity between sensors, actuators and ECUs, including parametrization/optionality that feeds into the execution of the wiring harness by downstream users. The position requires knowledge in Electrical Architecture to ensure correct releases, working with other architects, sub-system and components owners as needed to clarify expected connectivity for proper physical and functional behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
* Designed schematics (SDPs) for archetypes and architecture applications across all subsystems and power distribution configurations, aligned with PDP product development timelines and milestones.
* Create and manage schematics using CAPITAL LOGIC, CAPITAL PROJECT, and CAPITAL LIBRARY tools.
* Maintain and update libraries for schematics, components, and signal definitions.
* Oversee the equipotential database and conducte electrical component validation checks.
* Review component sheets, ensuring accurate graphical representation of connectors and EE components.
* Lead technical reviews with cross-functional teams to ensure schematic consistency and robustness.
* Collaborate closely with the wiring team to ensure SDPs supported auto-wire generation and meet circuit/power distribution requirements.
* Provide rapid response to urgent SDP issues, delivering solutions within 48 hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Embedded Systems Engineering.
* 1–3 years of hands-on experience in power distribution, electrical centers, and wiring design within industrial settings.
* Good skills
* in designing and defining complex power distribution systems, including architecture topologies, component selection, and interface integration.
* Strong grasp of vehicle EE architectures and automotive development life cycles.
* Recognized as a systems thinker, capable of analyzing and solving problems from a holistic, cross-functional perspective.
* Fluent in English, with excellent technical communication and documentation skills.
