Senior Financial Manager- Growth Engine

The Growth Engine is a newly established strategic subsidiary of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), with a mission to foster innovation through venture building, entrepreneurial support, and the acceleration of high-impact startup projects. By leveraging UM6P’s scientific excellence, world-class infrastructure, and broad network of investors and partners, The Growth Engine aims to create long-term value and drive the emergence of transformative ventures.

As it builds its leadership team, The Growth Engine is recruiting its [Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to design and lead the entity’s financial strategy and operations in alignment with its ambitious growth and investment goals.

Key Responsibilities

* Structure and oversee all financial functions of The Growth Engine: budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, and audits.
* Develop a robust financial strategy to support the growth and scaling of the subsidiary and its portfolio of ventures, acting as a “fractional financial officer” for those ventures while they are still being built by The Growth Engine.
* Lead cash flow management, financial planning & analysis, financial performance tracking, banking relationships, and investor engagement.
* Contribute to investment evaluations (startups or internal ventures), including financial due diligence, modeling, valuation and term sheets structuration.
* Ensure regulatory compliance and implement strong financial governance practices.
* Act as a strategic advisor to the leadership team on equity investment, fund structuring, and long-term financial planning.

Profile & Qualifications

* Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or related fields (Master’s, MBA, DSCG…).
* Minimum 10 years of experience in financial leadership roles, with proven exposure to private equity, venture capital, startup ecosystems, or innovation investment. Finance leadership role in a high-growth, venture-backed startup is a plus.
* Strong expertise in financial modeling (including for early-stage businesses), forecasting, valuation, and investment analysis (including deal structuring).
* Strong knowledge of venture funding instruments, term sheets, cap tables, and exits.
* Solid knowledge of innovation funding mechanisms and investment regulatory frameworks.
* Analytical mindset, rigor, and ability to operate in fast-evolving and entrepreneurial environments.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills (including demonstrated ability to partner effectively with both entrepreneurs and corporate executives).
* Able to balance macro strategy with hands-on operational execution.
* Multilingual with professional fluency in French and English.
