Overview:
Responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. Manages the accounting team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. Addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year end
audit preparation, and regulatory compliances.
Formulates and develops accounting policies, systems, controls and procedures for financial reporting.
Monitors and analyses accounting department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
▪ Reviews and submits accurate, timely, and meaningful financial reports, schedules, and other financial information to TIP’s parent company in Canada on a regular basis. Responds to inquiries from next process customers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.
▪ Maintains close coordination to operations group and other service support departments. These specifically includes processing of request for payment, queries or need to orient for related accounting policies and procedures, and clarifications on some financial reports.
▪ Maintains close coordination with treasury and budget department to ensure timely and accurate release of payments to vendors, suppliers and employees. Teams up with financial planning department in order to achieve timely and accurate monthly closing of books. Collaborates with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
▪ Handles issues or concerns of suppliers and vendors which cannot be handled at accounting officer level.
▪ Sets directions on strategic response to special audit, investigation, and reports requested by government bodies related to the operations of TIPI. Ensures accurate and timely compliance to different regulatory bodies
▪ Handles issues or concerns of external auditors which cannot be handled at accounting officer level. Ensures a clean and timely yearend audit.
▪ Leads and ensures accomplishment of accounting special projects for the purpose improving overall performance of finance department. Works with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and advice on the progress to enhance
Required skills + qualities (technical):
▪ .Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
▪ Certified Public Accountant
▪ Four (4) to Six (6) years experience in Accounting Department, preferably within the call center or consulting industry with more than three years of which is in supervisory or managerial level
▪ Advance knowledge of call center operations and organization. Proficiency with MS Office applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, SAP).
▪ Deliver output with minimum supervision People-management skills. Time and project management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Fluency in the English language. Adaptive to changing work
schedules and working hours. Customer orientation. Problem-Solving, Decision-Making, and Analytical skills.
