Key responsibilities :

  • Be fully aware of Power Purchase Agreement, EPC Contract, O&M Agreement and various Project Agreements and manage the stakeholders effectively in line with the contracts.

  • Leads the IPP Engineering team in all disciplines of Engineering and Design;

  • Defines a review strategy (base line) in collaboration with the OE – FI;

  • Assures multidisciplinary coordination in collaboration with the OE ( FI);

  • Organizes internal weekly coordination meeting with OE;

  • Leads internal (topic review/coordination) meeting;

  • Develops and maintain cooperative working relationship within the team;

  • Assures the coherence of the technical concept towards of the EPC contract in collaboration with the OE;

  • Assists/ leads topics / close out meetings with the EPC contractor;

  • Approves the mission of the OE engineers to assist in meeting outside the OE offices;

  • Mitigates any engineering & design risks;

  • Day to day engineering decisions & implementation of long & short term plan, catch up plans, etc;

  • Extends full support to Project Director/CEO & act on any engineering & design defect and forewarn on deficiencies both in the contracts and the ones which cannot be managed through contractual requirements;

  • Timely management and posting of Engineering reports, Management Information Reports;

  • Timely Highlighting of Key Issues & concerns along with probable solutions / options;

  • Ensure that reliability, safety and quality aspects are focused and part of the plant design;

  • Supports the Project team in the discussion related to technical issues for which the EPC contractor either claims variation orders or disagrees

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering Electrical is a must. Master's in Engineering preferred

  • Minimum 14 years of engineering and design experience.

  • Must have strong EPC experience dealing with PV projects

  • Experience in handling at least 3 large full cycle PV projects.

  • Proven success in developing and improving engineering processes

  • Working knowledge of project contract terms and ability to translate contracts and financing agreements into concise techno-economic analysis

  • Sound theoretical and practical knowledge of engineering principles. A broad knowledge of recognized American and British design codes.

  • Great analytical skills with Incredible problem-solving abilities

  • Effectively work in a collaborative, cross-functional and open culture

  • Effectively communicator, negotiation and influencing skills
