Morocco Sales Director/Sales Manager (Biopharmaceutical/Vaccines)

About the Role

We seek an experienced Sales Director to lead our biopharmaceutical/vaccines business in Morocco. The ideal candidate will come from a top-tier multinational pharmaceutical company with deep expertise in Saudi market dynamics, government tenders, and retail distribution. This role will oversee all sales operations in Morocco.

1. Key Responsibilities


* Develop and execute the regional sales and market entry strategy for the company’s biologics, biosimilar products, and vaccines.
* Acquire deep understanding of national healthcare procurement systems in country, particularly the centralized public purchasing mechanisms in Morocco.
* Lead and manage the full lifecycle of government tender participation, including but not limited to opportunity identification, eligibility assessment, registration coordination, preparation of technical and pricing proposals, bid submission, clarification responses, contract negotiation, and post-award execution.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders, such as procurement officers, ministry officials, hospital pharmacy committees, and regulatory reviewers, to support favorable product access and policy influence.
* Design and implement regional commercial channel strategies, identifying, onboarding, and managing qualified pharmaceutical distributors and wholesalers in each key market, ensuring effective inventory management, regulatory compliance, and sales accountability across the supply chain.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments including regulatory affairs, medical affairs, market access, and supply chain to align product launch planning, registration timelines, reimbursement approvals, and distribution logistics with commercial priorities.
* Monitor and analyze competitor activity, market pricing trends, tender outcomes, promotional campaigns, and government procurement policy changes to proactively adjust strategies and maintain competitive advantage.
* Develop, track, and manage annual and quarterly sales forecasts and budgets, implementing performance targets and incentive programs to optimize revenue generation, profitability, and return on investment.
* Provide senior management with comprehensive and timely reports, including sales performance updates, market intelligence, customer feedback, pipeline reviews, and risk assessments to support executive decision-making and strategic planning.

Profile & Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biotech, or Business Administration.
* Minimum 5–10 years of proven sales experience in the biopharma industry with a focus on biosimilars, vaccines, or complex biologics.
* Deep understanding of Morocco’s healthcare ecosystem, including public sector procurement processes and hospital sales channels.
* Existing relationships with key stakeholders and government buyers in Morocco.
* Strong track record in government tender participation and success, preferably with multi-million dollar contract wins.
* Experience in team building, Salesforce leadership, and distributor/channel management in the Morocco.
* Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are a strong advantage.
