Role Description The Responsable du service des achats at Ouhoud Market oversees all purchasing activities to ensure optimal product availability, cost control, and supplier performance. This full-time, on-site role in the Prefecture of Casablanca includes negotiating with suppliers, evaluating offers, and establishing contracts that align with the company’s quality and pricing standards. The role involves monitoring stock levels, analyzing sales and purchasing data, and coordinating with store operations and finance to plan purchasing volumes and schedules. The Responsable du service des achats also develops and implements purchasing procedures, maintains accurate records, and ensures compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the purchasing team, resolving supplier issues, identifying new sourcing opportunities, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting activities.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in procurement or purchasing management within retail, wholesale, or FMCG environments.

• Proficiency in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost optimization.

• Ability to analyze sales, inventory, and purchasing data to support decisions and improve performance.

• Knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory control, and basic logistics.

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with suppliers and internal teams.

• Experience leading or supervising a team in a structured, process-driven environment.

• Comfort with using ERP systems or purchasing/inventory management software and standard office tools.

• Relevant degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field is preferred.

• Fluency in French, with working knowledge of English or Arabic considered an advantage.
