Regional Safety, Health and Environmental Manager

Role Summary:

The Regional SHE (Safety, Health and Environmental) Manager will provide support and align plant Safety, Health and Environmental related activities to ensure compliance with local legislative requirements, ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards and Mondi corporate safety, health and environmental rules & requirements. You will report to the Regional Manager and dotted line to the Business Segment SHE Manager and collaborate with Site Leadership, Environmental Professionals and site teams.

Your mission:

Regional Responsibilities

* Coordinate regional SHE topics with management and relevant teams.
* Conduct regular plant visits for status updates, incident investigations, and coaching.
* Ensure accurate reporting of SHE data and support incident investigation processes.
* Organize and participate in SHE meetings and provide support for site interactions with authorities.
* Assist with transitions involving SHE coordinators, including recruitment and training.
* Manage SHE aspects of new projects and organisational changes.
* Contribute to planning and goal setting for local SHE teams.
* Prepare visit reports and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.

Business Segment (BS) Responsibilities

* Coordinate BS-related topics with the BS SHE Manager.
* Provide comprehensive support for CBUM audits, incident investigations, and other cross-regional activities.
* Prepare status reports for BS management as required.
* Assist with SHE initiatives as necessary, including but not limited to participation in the Social Psychology of Risk and Engagement Board, training sessions, working groups, and cross-regional CBUM audits.
* Advise and support Plant Management in implementing BS initiatives and achieving Mondi Safety Indicators and other relevant BS or Group objectives.
* Undertake specific responsibilities for BS as agreed upon within the BS SHE community through joint decision-making.

Your profile:

* Safety specialist education, NEBOSH, excellent knowledge of the ISO 45001 et ISO 14001 norm, and good knowledge of the ISO 9001 et ISO 31000 norm.
* Minimum 10 years of working experience as SHE specialist (manufacturing environment experience as a safety expert) in 24/7 plants.
* Good Knowledge about local legislation.
* Good knowledge of continuous improvement techniques 'CI'. A Black Belt or Green Belt certification would be a plus.
* Knowledge about Social Psychology of Risk and use of the Engagement board.
* Agile, curious mindset, team player, positive attitude, good communicator, hands on.
* Ability to establish positive relationship on various plant and leadership levels.
* Clear communicator with relationship-building abilities; fluent in English, French, and Arabic
* Adaptable and hands-on, able to adjust to changing business needs.
