About the Role :
A Quality Wiring Harness Engineer is responsible for ensuring field Quality Issues resolution and monitoring by following up with technical teams, Reducing Warranty Costs and improving manufacturing Quality Issue by performing Gemba walks.
Key Responsibilities :
For Total Warranty Cost Reduction :
1-Spending
-Monitor total warranty spending KPI vs target across models, assignment rate, clean point, TSB existence and execution,….
-Analyze warranty claims, failure modes, labor costs, parts costs, and identify cost deviations
-Follow up with control tower assignment rate (above 60%).
-Follow up clean point / TSB with ISS owners.
2- Saving
-Monito saving KPI vs target.
-Identify opportunities for saving (TSB optimization, kit rework, diagnostic improvement at aftersales, ….)
-Coordinate with Enlarged Europe for saving ideas.
-Lead Workshop with after-sale for saving idea.
-Ensure accurate reporting/action plan for target achievement in weekly meeting with management.
For Gemba walk
-Organize and schedule Gemba Walks in different plants (in different countries).
-Define Gemba Walk objectives, scope, and focus areas (safety, quality, standard work, design rules,...).
-Lead on-site observations directly at the assembly lines.
-Verify adherence to standard work, procedures, and quality requirements.
-Gemba walk finding dashboard.
-Follow up ISS creation with right attribution (supplier/ design/ …)
-Track action plans ECR and ensure closure within agreed deadlines.
-Prepare reports and dashboards for management review.
Candidate Profile :
Education :
Master’s degree in Engineering (Bac +5 or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics /Industrial Engineering
Experience :
Minimum 8 years of experience in: Wiring harness engineering and quality.
Required Skills :
Technical Skills
* Strong knowledge in Wiring harnesses, connectors, and component design specifications.
* Quality data Analysis and interpretation.
1. èAnalyze warranty data (Pareto, trends).
2. èIdentify cost drivers.
* Lead cross-functional problem-solving.
* Gemba walk
* Problem solving method (8D, 5why, ISHIKAWA, 8D…)
* APQP/ PFMEA
Soft Skills :
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Workshops organization.
* Autonomous, analytical, organized, and responsive
* Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to work with diverse stakeholders.
* Teamwork in cross-functional environment.
Languages : French: Fluent / English: Fluent / Arabic: Fluent / Spanish or German: A plus
The candidate must be available for frequent national and international travel to Stellantis plants, after-sales, suppliers for several activities.
