Project Expeditor

Job Purpose

* Administer the expediting process for assigned projects; including planning, development, and administration in support of projects or other operating requirements. May participate in project supply management strategy development and implementation, and identifies and advises project and supply management of potential risks.

Main Scope/Responsibilities

* Provide continuous insight into the supplier's progress toward meeting purchase order requirements, particularly delivery schedules
* Monitor and report the progress of supplier’s requirements to project management.
* Develop alternative and timely schemes to keep progress on schedule for project requirements.
* Work with buyers, engineering, planning, project controls, construction, HSE, and quality to ensure purchase order requirements are understood and complied with by the supplier.
* Establish formal and informal communications with assigned suppliers to enable a timely, accurate, and forward-looking analysis of suppliers' progress in meeting interim delivery schedules of supplier data, manufacturing milestones, material deliveries, testing activities, and material and equipment delivery.
* Track supplier data information movement to and from the supplier, documenting the progress in the progress management system (AVEVA ERM).
* Prepare or contribute to the preparation of frequent reports detailing the supplier's progress, problems encountered, and solutions to maintain fabrication, testing, and delivery schedules. Provide pertinent information to the supplier evaluation program. Payment management for monitoring the average payment time.
* Where required, travel to suppliers' locations and fabrication shops to verify progress and to construction and operational sites to ensure deliveries are occurring as required by the project.

Education

* Education (Bachelor/Master/PhD): Mechanical or Industrial Engineer or equivalent
* Curricula: Mechanical, Industrial or equivalent

Global Experience

* 2 to 5 Years Experience
