We are seeking a highly motivated professional for the role of Subcontracting Pilot within the Product Development and Technology organization. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing R&D efficiency through strategic subcontracting management, cost control, and supplier performance monitoring.

This position requires a results-driven and analytical individual with strong organizational skills, capable of managing complex projects, aligning multiple stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Mission

* Cost Optimization:
* Reduce R&D costs through efficient subcontracting strategies aligned with the Product Development & Technology (PDT) policy and the business resource/competency plan.
* Strategic Alignment:
* Ensure subcontracting activities are coherent across the Africa Technical Center (ATC) and contribute to synergies and performance improvement.

Main Responsibilities

1. Subcontracting Strategy & Planning

* Define and update the subcontracting roadmap (realized vs forecast) quarterly, according to workload (PMT), competencies, and market best practices.
* Prepare subcontracting evolution plans to meet workload and competency needs.
* Guarantee transversal R&D consistency and propose improvement levers.

2. Performance Management

* Achieve cost savings and efficiency targets defined in the Workload Forecast Plan through measurable KPIs.
* Analyze monthly subcontracting KPIs and manage related action plans (e.g., onsite presence, outsourcing trajectory).
* Challenge business units on target achievement and results.

3. Supplier & Partnership Management

* Ensure suppliers meet contractual objectives (skills, cost savings, performance).
* Lead and maintain strong client–supplier relationships through structured action plans.
* Apply corporate R&D subcontracting processes and standards to achieve operational efficiency.

4. Reporting & Governance

* Maintain alignment with PDT (Product Development & Technology) (Engineering) and Finance VEMO (Vehicle Economic Management Office) objectives.
* Report hierarchically to the ATC Subcontracting Manager and functionally to Corporate Subcontracting teams.
* Provide regular updates on progress, KPIs, and roadmap alignment.

Profile

Education & Experience

* Master’s degree (Engineering or Business School) specializing in Purchasing and/or Project Management.
* Minimum 7 years of experience in subcontracting, procurement, or project management.

Skills & Competencies

* Strong analytical skills in cost breakdown and performance indicators.
* Excellent command of professional English (spoken and written).
* Persuasive communicator with solid negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to influence, coordinate, and drive cross-functional initiatives.
