Project Director – Infrastructure & Financial Advisory

We’re partnering with a leading international advisory firm recognised for delivering award-winning infrastructure and project finance transactions across the globe. As the firm continues to expand its presence in Africa and beyond, we are seeking a Project Director to drive client engagements and lead the delivery of complex financial advisory mandates.

About the Role

This senior leadership position offers the opportunity to oversee high-profile projects in sectors such as energy, transport, water, social infrastructure, and emerging technologies. You will take ownership of client relationships, lead cross-border project teams, and shape innovative financing and structuring solutions.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the origination and execution of large-scale project finance and advisory transactions.
* Act as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders, building trusted long-term partnerships.
* Oversee financial modelling, valuations, due diligence, and commercial/contractual structuring.
* Drive negotiations with lenders, investors, contractors, and government bodies.
* Lead and mentor a high-performing multicultural team, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
* Identify new business opportunities, contributing to growth strategy and market positioning in the region.
* Represent the firm at industry events, strengthening its profile as a global advisory leader.

Candidate Profile

* MBA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification.
* 10+ years’ experience in project finance, corporate advisory, or investment banking, ideally with exposure to infrastructure and energy projects.
* Proven track record of leading cross-border transactions and managing complex stakeholder environments.
* Advanced financial modelling and strategic advisory skills.
* Exceptional leadership and client-facing capabilities, with the ability to influence at board level.
* Fluency in English is essential; French highly advantageous.
* Strong cultural agility and ability to thrive in international, multi-disciplinary environments.
