Job Overview
We are looking for a Program Cost Manager to join our Middle East & Africa Engineering Projects team. Reporting to the Chief Vehicle Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the financial performance of vehicle programs by ensuring achievement of Total Production Cost (TPC) and expense targets.
Key Responsibilities
Project Economic Steering
* Establish and maintain the overall economic status of the project and lead associated action plans
* Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of cost data used for TPC forecasting
* Build and manage the TPC Risks & Opportunities portfolio, including calculation of potential TPC
* Lead economic optimization initiatives to meet project financial targets
Cost Planning & Optimization
* Contribute to defining robust economic targets during project convergence phases (in collaboration with Product Planning)
* Develop and continuously update the project’s economic optimization roadmap
* Perform cost evaluations of product and industrial scenarios (TPC, investment costs)
* Support profitability studies and translate insights into actionable plans
* Provide financial targets to stakeholders, including part-by-part targets for sourcing
Budget & Expense Management
* Manage and control the project’s annual budget
* Monitor project expenses (investments, launching costs, supplier engineering & development, etc.)
* Track actual vs. budget performance and deliver monthly and annual forecasts
* Lead corrective action plans with stakeholders (Engineering, Purchasing, Finance)
* Validate and control expense workflows
Pre-Production & Industrialization
* Ensure accurate first serial price calculation (TPC) in coordination with Finance and Purchasing
* Consolidate actual costs and remaining investments ahead of mass production
* Prepare and manage the transition of cost responsibilities to series production teams
* Establish TPC risks & opportunities portfolio for serial life
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field
* Solid experience in automotive program cost management, controlling, or project finance
* Strong understanding of Total Production Cost (TPC), investments, and industrial economics
* Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects
* Strong analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities
* Fluent in English
