Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a Presales Consultant to support the Moroccan Market leader and the West African Business Development manager in engaging prospective clients, understanding complex operational needs, and translating them into tailored software solution proposals. This role blends technical knowledge with Public Transport industry insight to support the sales cycle, from discovery to proposal, focusing on SAEIV systems, scheduling, ticketing, and other intelligent transport systems (ITS).
This role will be familiar with the Trapeze African product range and will build an excellent understanding of the Moroccan and West African public transport market to support the entire sales cycle.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Market Leader – Morocco and working collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team, undertake the following high-level responsibilities in a professional manner:
Client Engagement & Requirements Analysis: Engage with public transport authorities, operators, and private transit agencies to understand their operational and technical challenges. Conduct discovery sessions to gather business, functional, and technical requirements. Analyze public transit workflows and recommend best-fit solutions from the Trapeze African product portfolio.
Solution Design & Demonstration: Design tailored solution proposals that align with client needs, leveraging modules such as scheduling, planning, real-time tracking, passenger information systems, fare collection, and analytics. Participate in the preparation and delivery of technical and functional product demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept sessions.
Bid Management: Respond to RFPs, RFIs and tenders with accurate, compelling technical and commercial documentation. Collaborate with internal teams (product, delivery, finance) to develop pricing models, deployment strategies, and risk mitigation plans.
Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with the marketing lead, business development managers, product owners, and implementation teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with customer expectations. Maintain a continuous feedback loop with the product team on evolving customer needs and market trends.
Market & Product Expertise: Stay current on trends in the public transport domain, and public transport regulations and procurement models associated with the region. Understand the competitive landscape and articulate differentiators of the Trapeze transport software solutions
Undertake any other reasonable tasks consistent with training and skill levels required for this position as requested.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Urban Mobility, Transport Planning, or a related field.
* 3–5+ years in a pre-sales, solution consulting, or transport technology role.
* Familiarity with public transport planning and operations, including fixed-route services, demand-responsive transport (DRT), BRT, or multimodal systems.
* Strong understanding of transport software systems (e.g., AVL, AFC, ITS, GTFS data standards).
* Proven experience preparing and presenting technical sales material to senior-level decision-makers.

Travel
* The position will require extensive travel within the region.
* Some overseas travel (outside of Morocco) will be required from time-to-time.
