Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Plant Controller in Casablanca. The Plant Controller will be responsible for managing financial statements, overseeing fixed assets, ensuring accurate cost accounting, and utilizing analytical skills to support finance operations. Day-to-day tasks will include preparing and analyzing financial reports and providing financial insights to support decision-making processes.
Job Summary:
This role involves financial management and support across multiple areas, primarily focusing on business partnering, period-end closing, CAPEX, and forecasting.
* Business Partnering:
* Work closely with Production and Supply Chain teams on plant meetings and reviews.
* Assist with COGS calculation, financial impact analysis of new initiatives, and process improvement at the Manufacturing Unit (MU).
* Conduct proactive analysis and manage cost reduction initiatives.
* Period-End Closing:
* Ensure timely completion of month-end close activities, including accruals, charges, and volume validation.
* Prepare reports such as flash reports, rolling forecasts, and KPIs.
* Ensure compliance with IFRS and JDE reporting policies.
* CAPEX Management:
* Analyze CAPEX initiatives and prepare documentation for capital requests (NPV, IRR calculations).
* Coordinate AOP preparation, ensuring accurate cost estimates for direct materials, production, and overhead costs.
* Standard Costing and Forecasting:
* Update and analyze standard cost estimates quarterly, comparing them with previous periods.
* Oversee rolling forecasts and track productivities and material costs.
* Audit, SAP & Internal Controls:
* Ensure compliance with internal controls and manage SAP-related issues.
* Participate in ongoing SAP + BPC projects and collaborate with central costing teams and other departments.
This role is crucial for ensuring financial accuracy, process efficiency, and continuous cost improvements across production and supply chain operations.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Financial Statements and Cost Accounting
* Strong Analytical Skills for financial analysis and decision support
* Solid background in Finance & controlling in the multinational & industrial environment
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an on-site environment
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
* Relevant qualification in SAP
* English & French fluency.
* Knowledge of SOX , US GAAP, AOP / LRP process.
* Experience with cost price calculations, investment calculations.
* Excellent proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint skills.
