Canadian International School is currently seeking a qualified and dedicated High School Math Teacher to join our academic team.

Our school follows the Ontario curriculum, and we are looking for a teacher who is passionate about mathematics, student success, and creating an engaging learning environment for high school students.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Teaching high school mathematics courses based on the Ontario curriculum

• Preparing lesson plans, assignments, quizzes, tests, and exams

• Creating a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment

• Supporting students with different learning needs and academic levels

• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback

• Maintaining accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance

• Communicating professionally with students, parents, and school administration

• Participating in school meetings, events, and academic planning when required

• Encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or a related field

• Teaching experience at the high school level is preferred

• Strong knowledge of mathematics concepts and high school curriculum expectations

• Familiarity with the Ontario curriculum is an asset

• Excellent classroom management skills

• Strong communication skills in English

• Ability to use technology effectively in teaching

• Professional, organized, and committed to student success

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience teaching Canadian, Ontario, American, or international curricula

• Experience teaching courses such as Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus, Data Management, or Grade 9–12 Mathematics

• Teaching certification or education degree is an advantage
