Job Purpose

To assist in handling, monitoring, and ensuring timely, cost efficient and safe transportation/shipment of the components of Airline fleet from technical stores to the designated and appointed service providers; liaise with freight/courier / transportation services companies for shipment; ensures that required documentation are complete ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of materials, parts, and equipment necessary for aircraft maintenance and operations.

Key Result Responsibilities

Logistics Coordination:


* Manage the distribution & storage of aviation parts and supplies.
* Coordinate the timely delivery of materials to maintenance, repair, and maintenance teams.
* Track and manage movement of high-value and time-critical parts.
* Provides ad-hoc inventory and stores support to as per approved procedures.
* Assists with logistics arrangements for parts delivery. Coordinates with respective departments on receiving engines, APUs as well as on handling dangerous goods

Inventory Management


* Ensures all items and components are available in place and on time to execute maintenance planned and un-planned tasks and to secure the availability and safe release of aircrafts.
* Ensures all issued-un-used parts are credited back to stock system and returned to the main stores as per Company’s procedures.

Procurement & Vendor Management


* Liaise with suppliers for timely deliveries and follow up on pending orders.
* Support negotiations on contracts, delivery terms, and costs where required.

Documentation & Compliance


* Ensure all logistics activities comply with aviation safety regulations and company policies.
* Maintain proper documentation for traceability of all aircraft parts and tools.
* Coordinate customs clearance and shipping documentation for international shipments.

Transport & Freight Coordination


* Arrange inbound and outbound shipments of aviation goods and materials.
* Liaise with freight forwarders, customs agents, and transport companies.
* Track and trace shipments, resolving any delays or discrepancies.
* Coordinate with clearing agents and customs for timely delivery of goods.

Support Operations


* Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to meet operational needs.
* Provide rapid logistical support for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations.
* Participate in logistics planning for special operations or missions.

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Aviation Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Work Experience

5 years of experience in logistics, inventory control, or supply chain management — preferably within the aviation, aerospace, or automotive industry. Experience in handling Aviation Logistics Operations and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support is preferred. Prior experience in international shipping, customs clearance, and freight forwarding coordination is advantageous.
